Carmen Lezeth:

Hi everyone. This is Carmen from All About the Joy. I wanted to jump on here quickly and let you know some of the new changes that we implemented this past week. For one, our weekly hangout live stream has moved from Thursday nights to Friday nights. We will still be on at 6 pm Pacific, 9 pm Eastern, and we'll be available on all the channels. We really wanted to change the night because all of us have to work on Friday mornings, but it was a little bit harder to do last year and finally, in 2025, we had the conversation and I'm so glad to say we were able to do it and we just did it this last Friday night and it was just a lighter vibe. It was so much fun and it just felt good not to be rushed. So hopefully you'll meet us there on Friday night, 6 pm Pacific, 9 pm Eastern, and again we're on Facebook, twitch, youtube, tiktok and LinkedIn.

Carmen Lezeth:

The second piece of news is really for my podcast listeners specifically, so the time for posting my podcasts is now going to be a little bit later on Sundays. I do know that we get some regular people who listen to us on Sunday early mornings. I think I know who some of them are on the East Coast, so I appreciate that, but we will be posting now, starting today, january 26. We'll have a new episode of the Private Lounge, which will be at 12 pm Pacific, 3 pm Eastern, and that will be every Sunday. So I guess that's not just a little bit later, that's a lot later. But the reason why we're doing it is because we're also providing now more content, so we have so much more to do and say and so we need a little bit more time to put that together and those few hours give us some time to actually do that.

Carmen Lezeth:

And while I'm here, what I would like to do is also just say thank you so much. I know I say it all the time, but it really does warm my heart that I have even one listener, let alone the amount of people that do listen to us and watch us and provide feedback, and so much joy watch us and provide feedback and so much joy. As much as I, you know, complain about the work that I actually do, what does give me such happiness and that inner joy every time is knowing that I'm going to be doing this podcast and live stream and, even though I may be exhausted most of the time. I do enjoy getting it done and I do enjoy having this collaboration with my guests and my friends, who are just amazing people Rick Costa, cynthia Ruiz Lopez, mario and Alma Dawson. They have just been so incredible, and so I want to give a shout out to them as well, but also to all the guests and everyone who has been on the show, and for the people we're going to have on the show in the future as well. I also want to thank, of course, the audience. You guys are awesome and I appreciate you, and so please tune in later on today If you want to check out the live stream that we did this last Friday. It is available on YouTube and on Facebook. I just wanted to jump on here and make sure that you were aware of what was going on and that you weren't missing an episode. It's just going to air a little bit later this afternoon, and so hopefully you can catch it live when it posts or at your leisure when you can check out any of the replays.

Carmen Lezeth:

So the whole point of All About the Joy, the way it was set up and the hope that I have that it'll become a little bit bigger and maybe we could duplicate this in other days is that we have a place to build community and just to hang out, and I always referred to when I was growing up. That's how it was in the neighborhood. You would come home after rehearsal, after school, and all the adults who came home after work would hang out on the stoop right. They would hang out on the porch, on the stoops, on the stairs, at the corner, whatever, and people would be talking and communicating and just chit-chatting, gossiping mostly, but there was this sense of belonging and I feel like so much of the internet is missing, so much of that beautifulness.

Carmen Lezeth:

And as the world gets bigger and as we get more and more technology that is supposed to connect us, sometimes it feels as if we are less connected to each other and we don't have a place to just come and hang out and be who we are and be okay with it, right. So I hope that's what you are getting from All About the Joy, our conversations, and I hope that in the future we do better to make that more of a vibe, and hopefully changing some of these days and hours will help with that as well. So we'll see you on Friday night at 6 pm Pacific, 9 pm Eastern. We'll also see you on Sundays now at 12 pm Pacific and 3 pm Eastern. Again, have a great one and remember at the end of the day, it really is all about the joy. Thanks for stopping by. All About the Joy Be better and stay beautiful folks. Have a sweet day.
