[00:00:16] Carmen: guy on Facebook who I, I don't know at all. Like, you know what I mean? He's like, we just connected 'cause we have people in common. And I'm reading, and he's, like, pouring himself out. Like, he's like, "All I've ever..." And he's not, like, one of these, like, wussy guys. You know? He's, like, manly man, and he's a creative soul, and he...
[00:00:34] Carmen: Well, you know what I'm saying. Like, so he's, he's writing on Facebook. He's like, "I keep trying. I keep wondering what is wrong." Like, everything you and I talk about. And I'm like, "Oh my God." Like, this is so
[00:00:48] Andrea: We're not alone.
[00:00:49] Carmen: Yeah, so it was just... And then, like, hearing all the responses, I'm like, I don't think once he asked for your advice.
[00:00:56] Carmen: Like, like sometimes... You know what I mean, right? People sometimes wanna offer advice, and it's like, I think he was just venting Just having a bad day. So how you doing? What's up?
[00:01:09] Andrea: Okay. Hang in there
[00:01:11] Carmen: You're really sad about Lindsey Graham passing, so, uh, well, wait, you know what's so funny? I know that you and I are on the same page 'cause generally when something matters, like I remember when George Michael died, the first text I got, like it, I think it was like at a ridiculous time of day or night or something.
[00:01:35] Carmen: You texted me 'cause you knew. You knew. You know what I mean? Like, and this was like, I didn't even think about calling you or texting you or anything at all
[00:01:47] Andrea: No, I mean, there was like, obviously all of the jokes and the memes and whatever. Uh, and I just w- like, the one that I w- relate to was like, "Well, this isn't the meal that I ordered, but I'm hungry, so I'll eat it." You know what I
[00:02:04] Carmen: so... Okay, but you know what's so funny? So your mom is on Threads, which I love.
[00:02:09] Andrea: My mom is on Threads? I don't even know what Threads is
[00:02:13] Carmen: Okay, your mom is on Threads. She's on social media. You're not, but she is. And, you know, but I always know, like, I always feel like so proud when she, like, likes something, and I know when she doesn't. Even when you're on it and I've liked, like, 'cause your mom is on social media.
[00:02:30] Carmen: You know what I mean? So she liked something that I reposted because there was so much cruelty. I mean, you called it jokes, but I, you know me. I was like, "It's better to say nothing. You know, just don't say anything." And you know what? Like, uh, President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Hillary Cl- they didn't say jack shit
[00:02:55] Andrea: Again, sometimes it's best to keep your mouth shut
[00:03:01] Carmen: Just keep your mouth shut. But I was shooketh by some of the bullshittery that some Democrats were saying. I expect it from the Republicans, right? But so- like, and, and I get it 'cause they have to say something, but one of the ones that your mom liked that I responded to was, th- and I forget who it was, somebody in, in the political sphere wrote...
[00:03:26] Carmen: They said something without saying anything, but saying a whole lotta lotta. And that's what I wrote in the comment. I'm like, "See, that's how you do it." They were like, like, basically, he was a man, he existed, peace to his family, something like that. It was like, that's it, you know? And I was like, "That's how you do it."
[00:03:45] Carmen: So yeah, I
[00:03:47] Andrea: Yeah.
[00:03:47] Carmen: I don't know. Y- you're not as crass as some people. Yeah.
[00:03:54] Andrea: Is that a bad thing? Should I
[00:03:55] Carmen: No, I think it's a good thing. I do think there's a level of
[00:03:59] Andrea: I can get crassier.
[00:04:01] Carmen: No, I know you can, but I mean, do, do you agree with people being that crass and cruel and mean?
[00:04:08] Andrea: Um, I, I mean, do I get a little chuckle? Yeah, sometimes. Depends on how far it goes, right? Um, do I think that it is truly better to just not... You just don't say anything. I mean, literally, that's one of the reasons why I'm not on social media. Like, I don't really need to say anything about anything. Like, I just don't.
[00:04:29] Andrea: Um, but I do kind of like the genre of he was a man who lived and died, peace. You know what I mean? Like, I like that. Like, that says everything you need to say
[00:04:46] Carmen: Yeah, I, I do think there-- look at the loss of civility in our culture and society is just shameful. But it's just the embodiment of this administration is just to be...and that's what people were saying. People were like, "We're gonna be mean about it 'cause this is what you wrote about Robert Mueller, about, you know, this is what Trump wrote."
[00:05:10] Carmen: 'Cause Trump is the epitome of disgustingness when it comes to being cruel and mean. And so, you know, I'm not saying people follow the leader, but you clearly do, you know? So, um, but yeah, I was impressed. I was like... I, I kept checking too, am I going like, "Did Barack Obama, Michelle Obama say anything yet?" I was like, "Have they said it?"
[00:05:33] Carmen: Just in case I missed it. I was like, but they nothing. Nothing.
[00:05:38] Andrea: Good, good, good
[00:05:39] Carmen: yeah. So did you, did you want to give your condolences to-
[00:05:46] Andrea: Do I, do I want to eulogize and, and offer peace and strength to, uh, the new senator from South Carolina?
[00:05:57] Carmen: They appointed his sister. And Gioia, they appointed his sister.
[00:06:03] Andrea: I know. I know
[00:06:05] Carmen: Like, since when is the... And, and so people are trying to be like, "Well, in the past they've appointed people's wives." No.
[00:06:12] Andrea: Well, okay, actually, uh, they did do that with, uh, Sonny Bono's wife. With Sonny Bono when he,
[00:06:19] Carmen: with... With who?
[00:06:22] Andrea: he was like a representative of Palm Springs, and when he died...
[00:06:26] Carmen: Cher was the... His
[00:06:28] Andrea: Cher. No. Well, no, his newer wife. Right, when he died,
[00:06:32] Carmen: right. When he
[00:06:33] Andrea: his wife got his seat, was I guess, I don't know if sh- well, she was appointed, I believe, and I can't remember by who. It was, I don't, I don't remember all the ins and outs, but nonetheless, she got his seat and actually kept it for a long time.
[00:06:46] Andrea: But that's the only one that I can remember where it was like, oh, well, this obv- this obviously goes to the family member, and was like,
[00:06:52] Andrea: eh,
[00:06:52] Carmen: no, this is, w- this is not the, this is not a democracy if we're doing that bullshittery. I don't care who does it, it's wrong.
[00:07:00] Andrea: I agree. That's like lords and shit
[00:07:04] Carmen: Fuck, I'm so over it, and the incompetence. Nobody, like, nobody in this admini- I was trying to figure out who in this administration actually is competent. Like who? Name one
[00:07:13] Andrea: so I, there aren't any. The-- I read a fascinating article, I think it was in The New York Times, which I don't normally read, but I just had to read this one. and it was about, I'm gonna butcher it, so I'll try to find it and send you a link. But it, the idea was, that, basically people who are sort of mediocre or below are often sort of the foot soldiers of any sort of autocratic regime, because they don't have any other way to get ahead, right?
[00:07:47] Andrea: It's not necessarily-- Like they're, they're willing to do the blood thirst, the nasty work of torture and all kinds of, you know, whatever, y- like the ICE agents killing the people in the streets and those kinds of things. in addition to, I would say the officials in this, in this administration, it's basically people who can't get ahead any other way, so they leapfrog above other people
[00:08:14] Carmen: right? It's the association to power,
[00:08:16] Andrea: It's the association to power, but it's also like, the way that they framed this was like it's careerism.
[00:08:23] Andrea: It's like I'm not gonna be able to get a promotion. I'm not gonna be able to earn this myself. Um, and so they are chosen specifically for that reason, and they accept spec- specifically for that reason, right? It's this weird synergy
[00:08:39] Carmen: with love, none of this is surprising to me.
[00:08:41] Andrea: I know. I mean, it was just really, really, like it's actually researched.
[00:08:45] Andrea: Like they did, you know, studies, uh, in Argentina
[00:08:48] Carmen: me is logical to me. I mean, I hear you. I'd love to see the article. I don't know what you're ta- I'm like, I'm, uh, duh. Like, I, duh, is what I'm saying. I am, I, I am not thinking that, you know, Marco Rubio is in the position that he's in because he secretly has stellar powers that we just did not see prior to Trump coming to office.
[00:09:10] Carmen: Huh?
[00:09:11] Andrea: I said, or is super smart or whatever it might be.
[00:09:13] Carmen: No, not at all. I mean, to me it's kind of, you know what, when I was growing up, you know, you would watch people and you would see how people would move towards whoever they thought the it girl was or the it group was, and, and it was always like the dumbest fucking people, right? It was always like the, the stupidest people who wanted to be associated, and what that it girl would do would kind of, uh, caress them and make them feel good and make them feel pretty and lovely and great, and so, and then they would be like, "I am going to be part of your world and whatever you want, it girl," or whatever, you know?
[00:09:54] Carmen: So it, it's not surprising to me. I mean, I'd love to read the article, but I'm like, yeah.
[00:09:59] Andrea: yeah. Yeah
[00:10:01] Carmen: not, there's not one person in office that, in, in office right now in this administration that I think is at all qualified to do anything that they're doing at all, like at all
[00:10:14] Andrea: They're, they're purposely not qualified.
[00:10:17] Carmen: Yeah, it's on purpose. Right. Because they, they adhere to whatever Donald Trump wants, and that's the only qualification
[00:10:25] Andrea: he had some qualified people in
[00:10:29] Carmen: The first
[00:10:30] Andrea: one and was like, "Oh, not doing that again."
[00:10:35] Carmen: Right, because they did stop him, which is weird because even back then you and I were complaining about what the hell is this administration
[00:10:41] Andrea: Yeah. Even then it was horrible. Like, where are the adults in the room, you know? And it turns out actually there were some adults in the room.
[00:10:48] Carmen: Which is so scary. But again, it goes back to that thing where like, you know, yeah, they were adults in the room and they did stop him clearly from doing some of the shit he's doing now.
[00:11:00] Carmen: And yet still they all came out after they left or after they were banished with their fucking books and, and so it...
[00:11:08] Andrea: Yep
[00:11:09] Carmen: means you do things when it's hard, not when it's safe. Courage is something that you need to leap into. So that's why I have no respect for those people. I know people get my- I have no respect for those people in the first administration who are like, "Oh, but now I'm going to tell you the truth and what is..."
[00:11:29] Carmen: And, and they're all analysts on every news station, right? And I'm
[00:11:33] Andrea: Now I'm gonna get paid to tell you what a D-bag he is or it's like, "Oh, okay, thanks."
[00:11:39] Carmen: Yeah, thanks. Because what would've been really helpful is in the moment you make that decision, you know?
[00:11:45] Andrea: Or you, like even if you, whatever, you're in there, like, like you said, courage is, is speaking out when there are consequences. The minute you leave, you say, "This is what I saw."
[00:11:55] Carmen: Yeah, the minute,
[00:11:56] Andrea: in your book.
[00:11:57] Carmen: deal.
[00:11:58] Andrea: Yeah.
[00:11:58] Carmen: Like, not the book deal, but you... Yeah, so I, I, you know, whatever. I'm just... I was watching, uh, Fox & Friends. Because
[00:12:10] Andrea: Oh my God
[00:12:11] Carmen: I enjoy the torture, right? I am... You know what? There are people that I know, there are people that you know, maybe, I don't know. But I- there are people that I know who watch this show. The amount of lies,
[00:12:34] Carmen: like, I don't even have to research it. Like, I'm like, "Oh my God, they're just spewing bullshittery on a constant basis." And they are one of the highest-rated shows. Uh, I mean, this is the problem.
[00:12:45] Andrea: Yeah
[00:12:46] Carmen: I don't even know why I brought that up. It's just 'cause they were talking the other day, and then there was a snippet online, and I saw, like, four people that I know like it, and I'm like, "Oh my God."
[00:12:55] Carmen: Yeah. Uh, they, they were talking about your favorite, Gavin Newsom. So you and Trump supporters all hate Gavin Newsom, I just want you to know that. Um, they, they're hating on Cal- You know what's so true? California does suck. I am now in the, in, in, in the bandwagon or whatever it's called with all the people who are on social media saying that California sucks 'cause we don't want you here.
[00:13:19] Carmen: Like, there are so many content creators who are like, "Yeah, don't come. It's horrible." There's this one content creator who I absolutely love, like, he says, "Yeah, the taxes are horrible. It's a horrible place," as his voiceover is showing, like, the beautiful beaches, like, all the beautiful parts.
[00:13:39] Carmen: It's
[00:13:39] "Oh, California sucks. It's too expensive, and it's full of liberals, and Gavin Newsom, and high gas prices, and blah, blah, blah, blah
[00:13:49] That's 84 and sunny, to be specific, and you know why
[00:13:52] Carmen: like chef's kiss.
[00:13:54] Carmen: So I... Yes, Fox & Friends, please keep talking about how bad California is. Your obsession with California just makes me giggle. Like, I don't even get it. You can hate on Gavin Newsom all you want, but please have substantive things. You know what I mean? Not just that you hate him 'cause he's good-looking or because you think he's corrupt in, I don't know, running the fourth-largest economy in the world.
[00:14:19] Carmen: But you know, you do you. You do you, so. Uh, speaking of hot men, I thought I would bring up, uh, Jon Ossoff.
[00:14:27] Andrea: Uh-huh
[00:14:28] Carmen: How you feeling about Jon Ossoff?
[00:14:31] Andrea: I'm pretty good. I don't know if I'd say he's hot, but yeah.
[00:14:34] Carmen: He's hot
[00:14:35] Andrea: Eh, he's a little too skinny for me, but, um, I'm just,
[00:14:39] Andrea: I'm just
[00:14:42] Carmen: than that, you'd have a shot. Right. Okay.
[00:14:45] Andrea: just, I'm just looking at the bounty of mother nature, like, that's
[00:14:51] Carmen: I'm just saying he's good-looking. I wouldn't date him. He's not my type, but I'm just saying he's, he's a hot guy. But, um,
[00:14:57] Andrea: Yeah, he's doing all the right things, I feel like
[00:15:00] Carmen: Yeah. But here's something people should know, and I actually believe him. He has not just said it once, he has said it twice. He has done it on in The Atlantic Journal, he has done it on CNN, he has done...
[00:15:12] Carmen: He is not running for president, and he said he's not ready. And of course I'm giggling 'cause I'm like, "That may not be your choice, baby." Like, that may not be your choice. But, um, he said he's not ready, which is a... And he's like, "Absolutely never going to happen. I'm not running for president in this upcoming whatever."
[00:15:31] Carmen: And I thought it was pretty solid. It's not wavering, you know what I mean? But I just think he's a really, he's somebody to be watching,
[00:15:39] Andrea: Yeah, that's interesting
[00:15:41] Carmen: Yeah, what's interesting.
[00:15:42] Andrea: That he would say that
[00:15:43] Carmen: Yeah. Yeah, he has said that. Not, not just once either. I, I, I'm
[00:15:48] Andrea: Yeah, I didn't know that. Um, 'cause I definitely thought he was running. But, um, yeah,
[00:15:54] Andrea: that's interesting
[00:15:55] Carmen: imagine politicians like Mamdani and him, like actually working for the people. You know what I mean?
[00:16:02] Andrea: yeah, I mean, that's like everybody doesn't have to run for president. We can just have good people in different spots around the country, and that's a good thing. We're just so desperate for good leadership.
[00:16:17] Carmen: Yeah. You know, he's also young. I think he's 39 or something, so he has time, and I think he's really smart, you know? So that's knowing where you're at. It doesn't mean it still wouldn't happen. Like, we- we're still two years away, you know what I mean? Uh, but I loved how fair she was about that. And, and you're right, not everybody should be president. How do we
[00:16:41] Andrea: even like should be. Like, there are probably a lot of people who would do a much better job than what we're seeing now. But like, yeah,
[00:16:50] Andrea: I,
[00:16:50] Carmen: I would be a better president. I'm not even... The fuck, I'm not even exaggerating.
[00:16:54] Andrea: cat would be a better president, and he's a dick. Um, like, I just mean, like, why can't we have good leadership all the way around, right? It doesn't all have to be concentrated in one area
[00:17:09] Carmen: Yeah. And it's so funny how much people hate Mamdani and, uh, because he's actually doing what he said he was going to do, and doing it with such joy. And, and, you
[00:17:22] Andrea: people know,
[00:17:22] Andrea: that he's doing it?
[00:17:24] Carmen: letting... Yeah, and I think that was a big problem with Barack Obama and Joe Biden not letting people know what you're doing, you know? So having that ability to, to understand the dynamics there, especially in the world we
[00:17:36] Andrea: and like d- even the way that he talks about it, it's not like, "Hey, look what I'm do- you know, here let me put my name on this bike lane." You know what I mean? Like,
[00:17:46] Carmen: Right.
[00:17:47] Andrea: it's not that kind of a thing. It's like, "Look at this awesome thing that we're doing for you," right?
[00:17:55] Carmen: Yeah. He's, he's, he's how all politicians should be. And look it, I'm not gonna get into this. I need people to actually research the difference between communism, socialism, and democratic socialist. Like, there, those are three different things, and you're all fucking them up because you're listening to your dear leader who's now throwing the word around every five seconds to confuse you.
[00:18:20] Carmen: Like, if you ever wanted to see how it happened that you got sucked into loving Trump, this is it. We do not have a communist and we do not have a socialist in office anywhere in the United... We do not. It's because you don't know what a democratic socialist is. You don't know what that word is Breathe. We do this on Friday Night Live. We do the whole, like, pretending we're doing, like... Breathe. Um, anyways, I wanted to talk about, uh, the Supreme Court Justices Kagan and, uh, Bennett. Is that her name? Barrett. Barrett.
[00:18:59] Andrea: Heaney, Barrett
[00:19:01] Carmen: Uh, they were in front of Capitol Hill talking about needing more security. I didn't know if you caught that at all, if you had any thoughts about it
[00:19:09] Andrea: only know what was in your email. I
[00:19:12] Carmen: Yeah, so they're being...
[00:19:13] Carmen: So, you know, this, it's interesting who they chose to go speak to Capitol Hill, but they're asking for more money for security because, they've been doxxed. their children, their families are being, sought after or whatever you wanna call. and Supreme Court Justice Barrett? Barrett, actually has Black children, and so that's become a thing.
[00:19:38] Carmen: Uh, so look at, this goes back to what we were talking about earlier, the cruelty, the, the inability to have civility. Um, I, I, I don't care what they need security-wise or whatever, and I do disagree 95% of the time with Barrett, or what's her name? Yeah, Barrett. Um, uh, but we still should be able to protect our Supreme Court justices, you know?
[00:20:07] Carmen: They shouldn't need protection. They shouldn't need protection, so yeah.
[00:20:11] Andrea: Yeah, I mean, no one should be subject to threats of any kind for the... Or, I mean, you know, of bodily harm, I should say, or, or anything like that, right? Like, uh, and they should have whatever security they need to keep them and their family safe, I feel like, right? Like, we don't want anything happening really to anybody in that way.
[00:20:36] Andrea: And this isn't a but, but I would also say w- when you are dismantling the country, the laws that we have lived by for decades, uh, even centuries in some cases, um, it's gonna piss some people off. And, uh, we're not always gonna be able to control some of those people, right? And, and that's, it's not okay. You should have the security, all of that, but, like, don't think that there aren't gonna be consequences when you do this kind of shit, 'cause there are
[00:21:19] Carmen: Andrea just said, I wanna also apply to ICE agents
[00:21:23] Andrea: Yes
[00:21:24] Carmen: Like, I, like, here's, here's my problem. Like, you should be able to walk the streets of the United States as a human being and not get, uh, confused by an unmarked car full of unmarked people with complete masks on, and then be shot and killed in the streets.
[00:21:47] Carmen: I don't care who you are. The, the consequences in this country for not having legal status is not death
[00:22:01] Andrea: The consequences for being a person whose skin is darker than mine is not death.
[00:22:08] Carmen: Right. Those are not, right. Or, or people protesting of any color who are protesting for any reason, the consequences to that is not death Yeah. So as much as I want Supreme Court justices to be protected, I actually want more importantly our country of human beings to actually be protected by civility. And I want ICE age, I want ICE agents
[00:22:43] Andrea: There are laws that actually protect these people.
[00:22:46] Carmen: but ICE agents don't.
[00:22:48] Andrea: And I know, I know. I'm just saying, like, they're... You know, part of what this Supreme Court done, has done is dismantle the laws that kind of, uh, are the foundation of the civility
[00:23:06] Carmen: Yeah, and before I get any emails or whatever, or anybody pushing back telling me like, "Well, if they would just abide by the..." Fuck off. Like, I'm so ti- You're so dumb. I don't care. Did you guys not see those fucking white supremacist guys marching in the streets with their little outfits? Oh, you know what somebody else said, which I thought was very interesting?
[00:23:30] Carmen: You know what group of people, what group of men walked the streets and never had to wear a mask? The Black Panthers. I was like, I was like, "Where are the Black Panther Party? Where are they?" Like... Look it, I'm not advocating for any of this, but I'm just, I'm so tired of the immorality and the idea that you can justify death in any way, shape, or form, any way, shape, or form for any infraction that anyone's doing. I don't care. I don't care. It makes no sense at all. That is not how this works. No. Ugh. Anyways, all right.
[00:24:12] Andrea: Hard agree.
[00:24:13] Carmen: Yeah, so we agreed to that. So are you excited for, um, Trump's speech to the nation tonight? Um,
[00:24:21] Andrea: that tonight?
[00:24:23] Carmen: uh, yeah, it's tonight, Thursday night. Oh, yeah, when this is airing Thursday night. We're recording on Wednesday, so we gotta get the cat's out of the bag now. So,
[00:24:37] Andrea: Um,
[00:24:38] Carmen: um, it's Thursday night. He's going to be talking about...
[00:24:41] Carmen: Well, first of all, I don't think it, I don't think the network should let him on
[00:24:46] Andrea: I agree. Don't-- Why-- Please, for God's sake, don't platform that shit. Like, what's he gonna say? Same shit he always says, some rambling bullshit, like
[00:24:56] Carmen: Well, now he's trying to... So he's, so let me explain what I know to be what he's trying to do, 'cause we can all see it. He is creating chaos regarding voting in every way, shape, or form, because no matter what happens in November, he wants to be able to discount it as not being correct. Unless the Republicans win the House and the Senate, then it's fine.
[00:25:21] Carmen: And the irony of ironies is, is that he keeps trying to say that the election that his administration was in charge of, 'cause he was actually president at the time, was the one where all the cheating happened. And that the other ones, yeah, were... That where he won, the other ones where other Democrats were in charge
[00:25:45] Andrea: Obama and Biden were in charge when he won.
[00:25:49] Carmen: Right. Those ones were legit. Right. So, uh, he's so fucking stupid, and you for believing him are just as stupid. And I... You know what? There, there's no other way to say it. Like, we're down to the wire here, people. We're down to the wire here. You have got to get a clue. Like, I just... I don't know what else to say anymore.
[00:26:13] Carmen: It's obvious what he's doing. So now he's gonna talk on Thursday 'cause he's going after our man, Jon Ossoff, who we all love now, and ooh, Raphael Warnock, who we also love. Did I say his last name right? I don't know. Wa-
[00:26:27] Andrea: I believe so,
[00:26:27] Carmen: Wa- Warnock, uh, Reverend. Is he a reverend? I don't know. Anyways, Raphael, he, he speaks like one.
[00:26:33] Carmen: That's all I'm gonna say. But
[00:26:35] Andrea: I'm pretty sure he is, actually
[00:26:36] Carmen: they are duly elected senators from Georgia, and the same state that Donald Trump called the state representative and asked for more to find more votes because he was losing. Uh, Raffensperger or something. I forget the guy's name. Uh, it's, it's such a mess. So he's going to speak on Thursday night because what he's trying to do is keep putting in bullshittery about voting and that it was corrupt and that the Chinese were involved, and there was all these things under his administration, by the way, so that you can feel uncomfortable about voting, so that you can choose not to vote, so that you can feel uncomfortable with whatever happens in November.
[00:27:24] Carmen: That's what he's doing. That's my take
[00:27:27] Andrea: Yeah. I mean, I think you're right. It's just throw spaghetti at the wall and hope that a few things stick to disrupt, um, to create chaos, to create confusion, um, to create conditions for so that when Democrats win, he can find a way to not seat them. I mean, that was-- I talked to you about this two years ago.
[00:27:52] Andrea: That was my fear. I was like, okay, so we're gonna, you know, what are, what are, what year are we in? 20- what are the '26 elections going to look like? And do we have any faith that, uh, if/when Democrats win back the House and the Senate, they are going to be seated, uh, properly, appropriately, without bullshittery, without violence?
[00:28:22] Andrea: Um, and the answer to that is no, I don't have faith in that. And,
[00:28:26] Carmen: don't have
[00:28:26] Andrea: I don't want to really let my mind go to, okay, what does this look like in, let's say, December or January? 'Cause I think it's gonna be really fucking ugly
[00:28:37] Carmen: I think it's gonna be like January 6th. I think he's going to incite violence and, uh... Because people have to understand, yes, when he loses power, if, if the Democrats win the House and Democrats win the Senate, it's not just about impeachment. That's not, that's that's not what we're talking about. All of it is just gonna come to fruition.
[00:28:59] Carmen: The Epstein files will come out completely, which is really weird that you people are still supporting this motherfucker and he has not... Why is he not giving out the Epstein files? I, I need, I need somebody who is in the cult to call me and tell me. Well, you ain't got my number, but tell me why is he not putting out the Epstein files except that him and his cronies are already in it?
[00:29:27] Carmen: Like, how do you not see that? When the, when the Democrats take over, if, pray, 'cause, you know, not in the... You know what I mean? Like, whatever. But it's not just that we're taking every fucking name off of every building, and we're going to... All that stuff is surfacey shit.
[00:29:46] Andrea: All the gold shit will be gone.
[00:29:48] Carmen: Oh my God. Where does he get that style from?
[00:29:53] Carmen: It's disgusting.
[00:29:55] Andrea: Oh.
[00:29:55] Carmen: They named an airport after that motherfucker in Florida. I'm like, "Ew, ew." Like, what is happening? But all of that, all that stuff is the surfacey stuff. The thing that's really going to happen is him and his family are going to get screwed the fuck over, and people are going to jail, and they're gonna lose all their money.
[00:30:14] Carmen: That's the hope anyway, 'cause, you know, I don't know. I'll tell you this much. Whatever Democrat becomes president, if you forgive this mofo, I'm out
[00:30:25] Andrea: Yeah. Pitchforks will be out for sure. I mean, yeah, I, I think that's clear that
[00:30:33] Carmen: I don't think I, the, this is not a Nixon situation, and I'm sure people were pissed during that, right? The Nixon situation feels like so
[00:30:41] Andrea: It feels so quaint. It's like, oh, a little, a little break-in. How cute.
[00:30:48] Carmen: and so quaint. Such a little thing. Can you imagine Yeah, I'm shooketh actually. I'm a little shooketh by it 'cause it's, it's,
[00:30:56] Andrea: Yeah. I mean, I think we touched on this a little bit in one of the other shows. Like, the corruption that we know about is already just overwhelming and galling, and you know it's just the tip of the iceberg.
[00:31:11] Carmen: It's the surface. Oh, I didn't even think about that, but you're absolutely right. I'm just talking about he's screwed with just what we know
[00:31:20] Andrea: Yep. And there's s- I mean, uh, think of all of the administration officials and all of that. Like, God only knows what is happening. All of the weird crypto shit and like, uh, it, it's, it's almost like too much for your brain to process. You need someone who can really dig in, you know, like forensic accountants, like literally a nationwide team who are like, "Let's do this," you
[00:31:47] Carmen: I think there are people doing that now. I think there are people getting ready for that shit, like Mark Elias. I always talk about him 'cause I think he's great, but I just think there are a lot of people who are working on that shit. It's pretty impressive. Um, but you know, there's just so much, and it's so disgusting.
[00:32:01] Carmen: But even things like Kash Patel taking the fucking FBI jet to see his girlfriend 95 times or whatever the hell it is. I don't know what the number is. But it's, like, just all of this weirdness, like, just this blatant usage of our money, our money, and then saying, "But we don't have any money to help anything else."
[00:32:28] Andrea: Yeah, the thing that like people complain so much about, you know, "My, my tax dollars this, my tax dollars that," and it's like, okay, so you enjoy your tax dollars being used for Kash Patel's drunken whatever the fuck back and forth in a private jet? Like, that's okay with you?
[00:32:42] Carmen: But can you... Okay, here's, here's another one. I feel like this is an episode about talking to Trump supporters and giving you more evidence in case you... But they've drained the, the, what's it called? The reflecting pool again.
[00:32:56] Andrea: Uh, really? They drained it
[00:32:59] Carmen: They drained it again. And everybody's looking for the big ass gash, you know, the big gash with the box cutters that somebody was swimming through. Like, it's such bullshit. Like,
[00:33:10] Andrea: Oh, God. The Olympian who gashed it, right? Oh my God.
[00:33:16] Carmen: this person's been arrested, right? These people have been arrested or whatever, and it's like, that's the incompetence. And why did the, why did the caravan of the presidential whatever drive on that fucking thing? I did not know that they had done that. They had
[00:33:33] Andrea: I saw that too. I didn't even know you could. I thought it had like
[00:33:36] Carmen: even know you, like, how do you get on...
[00:33:37] Carmen: And it... But why would you? Why would you do that?
[00:33:42] Andrea: Just to say that you did. I don't know.
[00:33:45] Carmen: random. Okay, so here, here's, here's what I'm throwing out there, more information. You are the president of a country. You are known for real estate and construction, just throwing that out there, and you can't fix a motherfucking pool? I'm just... How is that possible? It was not sab- sabotaged. Of all the things Democrats would get together, Antifa would get together and rally around, it would not be the fucking reflecting pool
[00:34:19] Andrea: Yeah. Yeah
[00:34:22] Carmen: Oh my lord. By the way, Antifa is not a group. I, I, I c- I'm saying in joke sarcastically, but you guys just don't understand this at all. But Antifa is not a group, it's an isness, it's a thing. It's like what we believe in, we're anti-fascist. We've already had this conversation.
[00:34:39] Andrea: if it was, that wouldn't be a bad thing.
[00:34:41] Carmen: Yeah, it wouldn't be a bad thing. I'd be fucking running it if I could. I would. Let's talk about something good. Is there good news? Is there something fabulous and wonderful?
[00:34:58] Andrea: I don't have anything good. I'm still, you know, let's see, Wimbledon wrapped up. We still got the World Cup happening. Um
[00:35:06] Carmen: Who do we want to win in the World Cup? I don't care
[00:35:10] Andrea: I mean, at this point I think I've gotta go for Spain, which
[00:35:15] Carmen: Who's in the World Cup? I don't even know right now. Where are we at? Are we down to the last two
[00:35:19] Andrea: are at the semifinals. Today we will find out who's gonna be in the finals. So Spain won the semifinal yesterday against France. What- France was kind of the, who we, everyone thought was gonna be in the final, but they, I don't know what happened, they just didn't, didn't show up yesterday.
[00:35:35] Andrea: And then today we have England, surprise, playing, uh, Argentina, who won the last World Cup
[00:35:45] Carmen: So the guy that everybody was singing "Hey Jude" to, is that Europe? That's
[00:35:49] Andrea: He's England, yeah. Jude Bellingham, yeah.
[00:35:52] Carmen: Yeah. I like him because I thought that was a sweet story, although I also heard that people are very racist towards him in the beginning, so I don't know. What, what's that whole drama
[00:36:02] Andrea: Yeah, I mean, yes. Soccer fans are very racist and they're in all... I don't, I don't wanna say all countries, but in a lot of countries, Mexico, you know, England, uh, France, like they say race, Ger- Germany, like they just will yell racist things at the players. It's disgusting. Argentina
[00:36:24] Carmen: they all singing "Hey Jude" to him? That was kind of beautiful.
[00:36:27] Andrea: That's just what they do.
[00:36:29] Andrea: That's, you know, the, the, the English like to sing their songs, you know?
[00:36:33] Carmen: Okay, but it's because he, he got the goals, right? He got
[00:36:36] Andrea: Yeah, he's like w- the star player, him and,
[00:36:39] Andrea: um, Harry Kane, who, who golfed with Trump.
[00:36:45] Carmen: Who's Harry Kane? Is
[00:36:46] Andrea: Harry Kane is on the, on the England team, and he's like the older star of the team.
[00:36:52] Carmen: so I'm done now?
[00:36:53] Andrea: Bellingham is like the younger star, the hotter star, the better
[00:36:57] Carmen: Okay, so is Jude, whatever his name is, Jude, he's the one that's friends with the guy from New Zealand or Switzerland or Norway, right? Uh, they have a cute bromance, so that was cute. But they got kicked out or whatever. That was still kinda cute. Okay, so we don't want England to win
[00:37:16] Andrea: We don't, I can't, like, I almost like don't, don't air this because I can't really say it out loud, but yeah, we don't want England to win.
[00:37:23] Carmen: Wait, why can't you say it out loud?
[00:37:25] Andrea: Oh, it's just, you know, I have friends in England, that's my heritage, but I'm going for Spain
[00:37:31] Carmen: Hey, we're going for Spain to go against Argentina? Is that what we want
[00:37:37] Andrea: Um, I also would like Argentina to lose. So I actually want it to be Spain and England, and I want Spain to win. That's what I want.
[00:37:49] Carmen: Okay, so we want Spain to win. Which just so you know, Billy is from Spain, so
[00:37:54] Andrea: Oh, I didn't know that. He's from
[00:37:55] Carmen: didn't know that? Yeah. I mean, he was born here, but his family is... He's, yeah, he's half Spaniard
[00:38:02] Andrea: Okay. Awesome. Yeah. So- Thanks
[00:38:05] Carmen: That's why he was posting. Now I understand 'cause he was posting spam. Like, you don't know nothing about soccer. It's like, but now I get it.
[00:38:14] Carmen: I was confused why he was posting something
[00:38:15] Andrea: Yeah.
[00:38:16] Carmen: on his story or whatever, so. Okay, cool. And, um, when we're talking about tennis, is Serena playing now or not?
[00:38:24] Andrea: No, she played one singles match, lost. Um, she played pretty well though for someone who hadn't played in a while. Um, she lost and then she injured herself, so then the, the main thing that I wanted to see, which was her and Venus playing doubles, she couldn't play. So she was out pretty early on.
[00:38:44] Carmen: 'Cause that was like a big comeback story kind of
[00:38:46] Andrea: No, I mean, I just was like nostalgic for it.
[00:38:49] Andrea: I loved watching them together. I loved watching them play against each other, 'cause that was always a little strange. But, um, I just wanted to see them play doubles, and Serena got a little ... I mean, I don't know why she decided to play the singles. I mean, I kinda have an idea. She just was like, "Oh yeah, let's do it," and then she injured herself.
[00:39:08] Andrea: So I was like, "You should have just not played and played with your sister," but whatever.
[00:39:13] Carmen: All right. I know nothing about either one, soccer, tennis, whatever, but for those of you who enjoy that information, there
[00:39:19] Andrea: a short summer for me, but it all ends, uh, I guess next week, so
[00:39:24] Carmen: Oh, right. So it all ends next week
[00:39:26] Andrea: Well, Wimbledon's done and, uh, soccer ends next, what, uh, Sunday maybe? I'm not sure what, what day the final is. Um, and then, and then I got nothing until US Open at the end of August, so
[00:39:44] Carmen: but whatever. No, I'm just kidding. Um, all right, everyone, thank you so much for hanging out. We appreciate you, and remember, at the end of the day, it really is all about the joy. Bye everyone. Bye.
[00:39:53] Andrea: Bye.
